Relationships and Sexual Health Education Programs for Youth
Centre for Sexuality is proud to provide non-judgmental youth education programming for Southern Alberta. Our youth programs and workshops are flexible to meet your needs — contact us to get started.
We’ll customize a presentation based on the needs of your group. We believe that successful education is about more than learning the facts. We facilitate discussions following youth’s interests and deliver content that is current and relevant to our participants’ lives and experiences. Our programs are interactive and discussion-based and cover a wide variety of sexual health topics.
During our sessions we can discuss:
Birth control options
Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
How bodies work
Puberty and body changes
LGBTQ2S+ identities
Relationships and dating
Communication
Consent and boundaries
Tools for deciding when to become sexually active
Messages about sexuality from the media
Our youth programs are available to social service organizations, after school programs, drop-ins, clubs, college and universities, and other community-based organizations.
Our workshops require a minimum of two 2-hour sessions and a minimum of 4 participants. To date we have created custom programs for newcomers to Canada, girls, youth in care, and people with disabilities.
