The Centre for Sexuality is involved in supporting the development of the City of Calgary’s Addiction and Mental Health Strategy. An important piece of this strategy is ensuring the voices of all Calgarians are heard. They want to hear from alumni of our WiseGuyz program, as well as youth from the LGBTQ2S+ community about your experiences of mental health and what you think needs to change in terms of resources and supports available. We are co-hosting some focus groups with the City staff so that we can offer them a chance to hear from you and your experiences.

Here are the details:

When: November 3 (for LGBTQ2S+ youth) & November 4 (for WiseGuyz alumni) from 6:30-800pm

Where: TBD – let us know when you sign up if you’d like to meet online OR in person at our office (700-1509 Centre Street S)

What: a conversation about mental health, coping strategies and resources

► A gift card will be provided to each participant as a token of our appreciation for participating!

If you are interested in attending this focus group please let us know by October 28th by emailing the contact below for the two target groups: nhill@centreforsexuality.ca (LGBTQ2S+ Youth) or tabbott@centreforsexuality.ca (WiseGuyz Alumni)
