Analyze and address the intersections of stigma

In this interactive workshop for service providers, program managers, and administrators working in health and social service settings, participants will discuss and analyze the intersection of stigma related to sexuality, substance use and sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBIs) with other forms of oppression (such as racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism).

Participants will explore potential impacts of intersectional stigma on overall health and well-being, as well as client engagement with health and social services. Participants will leave this training with practical tools and strategies for their professional practice that support communities and individuals impacted by intersectional stigma.
