Parents in Calgary have started hosting these fun and informative evenings for small groups in their homes. You provide the space and the snacks – while one of our educators provides the conversation!

Why Host a Parent Night?

Do you have questions about how to talk to your kids about sexuality and healthy relationships? Do you think your friends and neighbours feel the same way? Want to support Centre for Sexuality?

Here’s how it works:

  • Pick a night and send an invitation to your fellow parents – friends, colleagues, relatives, neighbours. We can even give you a customized e-invitation to send out! Let people know that there’s a small fee – we recommend around $50 per person, $80 per couple – to cover the workshop costs and support the organization.

  • Provide a space (i.e. your living room) and maybe some light snacks – and even wine if you want to loosen everyone up a bit!

  • We will provide an experienced parent educator to start the conversation and answer everyone’s burning questions.

  • Parents walk away with a tax receipt and newfound confidence to talk to their kids, and we receive valuable donations. It’s a win-win!
