Explore the intersections of homelessness and 2SLGBTQ+ identity

It is estimated that 2SLGBTQ+ youth are up to six times more likely to experience homelessness, compared to their straight peers. This workshop helps support service providers create safer environments for clients with diverse sexual and gender identities who are experiencing homelessness.

Participants explore the unique intersections of homelessness and 2SLGBTQ+ identity and learn how homophobia and transphobia can contribute to homelessness. Participants will learn practical ways to create more positive, respectful and affirming environments for gender and sexually diverse clients and staff in homeless-serving settings.
