What is PIVOT?

Pivot is a new program for GBTQ2S+ (gay, bi, trans, queer, two spirit) guys focused on community health advocacy.

Pivot is an opportunity to connect with your community and discuss many of the important topics to guys today. It recognizes that there are unique health challenges faced by this community, and that these require innovative and community based responses to help address them. The program is also an opportunity to build practical skills in areas such and digital advocacy, media relations, and policy advocacy.

What’s involved?

Pivot is a free program taking place over two weekends: March 23, 34, 30, & 31.

The program is open to anyone who identifies as GBTQ2S+ and is interested in getting involved in community health advocacy. The program will involve interactive sessions to explore the topics of community health and different strategies for activism and advocacy.

The program will culminate with an opportunity to work on a community health advocacy project with other participants.

Lunch and snacks will be provided on all four days. If you require bus tickets to help you get to and from the centre, let us know.
