2016 awareness month picThe Calgary Sexual Health and Wellbeing Collaborative invites you to participate in YYC Sexual Health Awareness Month!

To recognize Sexual Health Awareness Week, collaborative members are hosting a variety of events throughout the month of February including organizational tours and/or workshops.

These events are for service providers to increase their knowledge of the sexual health services in Calgary and to increase their knowledge and skills on a variety of sexual health related topics.

At our office, we have the following events planned:

February 18: Workshop – Creating a Culture of Respect

Based on our unique Diversity and Respecting Everyone (DARE) program, this session will explore the reality of heterosexism in society and its impact on client service delivery models and practices. Drawing on actual experiences, facilitators work together with participants to identify strategies to create safe and supportive environments for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender clients and co–workers. Category A Social Work credits available on request.

February 24: Tour and Open House

Come and learn about all the programs and services available at Calgary Sexual Health Centre. Meet CSHC staff and get resources for yourself, colleagues and clients.

See the for details on all the events being offered: Calendar of Events- YYC Sexual Health Month. To RVSP to any of the events please email us at: emailintake@centreforsexuality.ca

About the Collaborative

The Calgary Sexual Health and Well-being Collaborative is made up of representatives from organizations serving the sexual health and well-being of all Calgarians. The collaborative was established in the fall of 2007 to facilitate a coordinated, collaborative community strategy to ensure that sexuality is accepted as integral to human development across the lifespan and all Calgarians have access to quality sexual health information and services.
